| Description: | Essential Functions:
1. Initially, undertake detailed review and analysis of market requirements for SchoolRooms from buyers' perspectives, with objective of informing corporate management and SchoolRooms product management about the current state of the product vis a vis market expectations
2. Review SchoolRooms content on ongoing basis to ensure its quality, currency, and integrity – especially related to changing curriculum and standards; review editorial calendars to ensure they remain in sync with curriculum standards
3. Tracking technology trends among K-12/educational technology vendors and users for the purposes of informing SirsiDynix’s software/platform development efforts in support of the SchoolRooms product
4. Create and manage programs to increase usage of SchoolRooms by end-users, thereby increasing likelihood that SchoolRooms buyers will re-subscribe annually
5. Create assessment component of SchoolRooms
6. Seek out and promote sources of grants and other educational funding that prospective SchoolRooms buyers can use for purchasing the product
7. Serve as SirsiDynix’s K-12 expert liaison with INFOhio, Kent State University, and other strategic groups whose involvement in the development of SchoolRooms is essential
8. Attend conferences, seminars, and read trade journals to stay abreast of ongoing educational trends; disseminate market information internally to corporate management, product management, sales, and marketing
9. Pursue opportunities to speak at educational conferences and other venues to influence prospective SchoolRooms buyers, as well as to collect market intelligence

| Qualifications: | Knowledge and Skills:
1. Advanced experience and knowledge of K-12 curriculum, standards, and quality
2. Familiarity with technology and content used in K-12 space
3. Strong expertise in organization of educational environments, with ability to use that expertise to help SchoolRooms users to maximize usage of the product.
4. Knowledge of educational assessment best practices
5. Knowledge of educational grants and funding sources and how to track those sources
6. Excellent management, written and oral communication, and organizational skills; preferably an experienced public speaker.
7. Ability to demonstrate and discuss SchoolRooms product (and perhaps other related products) in in-house and customer contexts
8. Ability to travel to conferences, client sites, and other remote locations
9. Ability to manage many individual tasks simultaneously
10. Organized, self-sufficient, self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of team
Education:
-Master’s in library science and master’s or PhD in education
Experience:
-10+ years of experience in major K-12 school district in library/media services and curriculum/instruction; prefer background as leader of programs to disseminate information and related services among librarians, educators, and students
