| Description: | The SirsiDynix Consultant provides advanced level consulting on all company products. This includes guidance, instruction, software troubleshooting, scripting, workflow problem-solving, and facilitating group discussion. The Consultant provides on-site consulting sessions; trains customers and internal support staff on Application Programmers Interface (API); designs and creates custom reports to meet the specified needs of customer sites; provides on-site support during customer go-live week with software product; provides detailed written quotes for sales department pertaining to custom work desired by customers; develops and recommends new service offerings for the department; and mentors other consultants. |
| Duties: | This position can be based in Provo, Utah; Huntsville, Alabama; or Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. |
| Qualifications: | The successful candidate will have strong technology training skills; understand the basic operations of the library environment; have the ability to easily adapt to a changing software product; have strong written and verbal skills and a strong understanding of relational database functionality.
A Bachelors degree is required; a Masters Degree in Library Science is preferred.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years previous experience in the library field as well as teaching and presenting;.project management, software implementation, and configuration experience is preferred; experience in both UNIX and Windows server environments is highly desirable.
