Description:The successful candidate will maintain the style & content for each channel that emphasizes marketability, usability, and adherence to best practices, and work with subject experts or other content development team members to edit their content; review, edit and approve new content and ensure integrity, consistency & compliance with content guidelines and strategies; develop original content such as teasers, articles, etc. as needed; develop and maintain taxonomies for Rooms as needed; work with channel manager team leader and supervisor to develop style guides, editorial calendars, formatting guidelines, functional requirements and technical specifications; conduct Market Research and competitive analysis for assigned channels to determine market driven changes needed with the ability to summarize findings in reports or mockups; and analyze content usage, marketing statistics and traffic statistics to report on trends and identify opportunity.
Duties:This position can be based in Huntsville, AL.
Qualifications:The ideal candidate for this position will preferably have a BA/BS Degree in Library Science, Journalism, Education or Communications and at least one year of experience in publishing, writing or manipulating content for the Web, online research or training. Experience working with teams on group projects and proven experience meeting deadlines and working under pressure also preferred. In addition the ideal candidate will have an understanding of HTML and portal technology and have the ability to synthesize research into easily digestible formats.
