| Description: | Owns all testing in a functional product area. Performs complex testing and leadership tasks on complex projects. Plans, schedules and implements testing projects Defines test objectives Writes test cases Assists other team members with approach and technical issues Performs complex functional, application, regression, and performance tests Reports detailed software defects. Takes lead responsibility of designated projects. Provides general maintenance on automation scripts. Identifies and proposes areas of improvement throughout the QA/Software Testing process. Automates functional tests within sprint development. Researches and develops an understanding of the marketing requirements for the product features being tested, including how the users use the features and their performance requirements for the features. |
| Qualifications: | Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles, methods, and processes Strong analytical and problem solving skills General understanding of the quality assurance process Two years experience with database administration, maintenance of SQL server, Oracle or DB2 Good application knowledge and use awareness Ability to accurately estimate task durations and meet schedules Good verbal/written communication skills preferred Self-motivated Experience with Windows (2000, XP, 2003 Server) and Linux (Red Hat AS/ES) environments in a QA environment. Experience with Web browsers and internet technologies in a QA environment required. 6+ years of QA or Software Testing experience and experience with Perl, Python, JavaScript or any other shell scripting language preferred. Experience in Unix (HP-UX, AIX, Solaris) and Macintosh (OS-X) environments in a QA environment. Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, DB2 or Oracle in a QA environment is desired. |
