Description:Responsible for central oversight of SchoolRooms, including serving as team leader of cross-organizational mainstreamed SchoolRooms resources, management of content resources and development processes, product marketing, marketing communications/PR, and third-party relationships.
Duties:1.Initially, lead a cross-organizational team in detailed review of SchoolRooms, including market requirements, current product (software and content), product plans (software and content), sales/marketing plans and initiatives, and operational processes (implementation/installation, customization, consulting, documentation, support, etc.)
2.Develop effective, sustainable model for ongoing planning, development, delivery, and support/maintenance of SchoolRooms
3.Create comprehensive strategic plan for SchoolRooms, thereby defining the product, markets served, market requirements, competitive landscape, sales objectives, sales/marketing initiatives, and operational requirements for product; essentially, develop and implement plan for moving prototype to young-but-maturing product
4.Provide senior-level management of SchoolRooms content and technology, managing content development team to ensure quality, currency, and integrity
5.Provide senior-level management of programs to increase usage of SchoolRooms
6.Oversee ongoing product marketing and sales support efforts
7.Plan and implement integrated marketing communications and PR plans to raise awareness, build brand, and generate leads, using websites, advertising, direct marketing, trade shows, and other tactics
8.Raise visibility of SchoolRooms among editors, analysts, and other library/educational leaders through involvement in industry organizations, conferences, etc.
9.Create and lead advisory and user groups to engage current and future SchoolRooms buyers/users
Qualifications:1.Familiarity with organizations and resources involved in ongoing development and delivery of SchoolRooms
2.Temperament required to marshal cross-organizational resources and achieve results in matrix-management context
3.Familiarity with SchoolRooms content and technology, with ability to expand knowledge to lead evolution of the product
4.Ability to collaborate with executive management to arrive at and then execute strategic plans
5.Ability to interact with and influence customers, industry leaders, editors/analysts, and others
6.Excellent management, written and oral communication, and organizational skills; preferably an experienced public speaker.
7.Ability to demonstrate and discuss SchoolRooms product (and perhaps other related products) in in-house and customer contexts
8.Ability to travel to conferences, client sites, and other remote locations
9.Ability to manage many individual tasks simultaneously
10.Organized, self-sufficient, self-motivated, and able to work independently and as part of team


Education (minimum requirements/equivalent): Bachelor’s/Master’s in business, marketing, education or other discipline that equips professional with skills for effective strategic planning, management, communication, and coordination

Experience: 10-15 years of experience in technology and/or content product marketing and management
